Terms of Service

By accessing and using AI Mechanic ("Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

AI Mechanic provides AI-powered automotive diagnostic assistance, vehicle registration mark (VRM) lookups, fault code analysis, and repair guidance. The Service is intended to assist with vehicle diagnostics but does not replace professional mechanical advice.

AI Mechanic offers the following subscription tiers:

Launch prices are locked for life for early subscribers. Prices may increase for new subscribers in the future.

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Providing accurate and current information

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method automatically each billing period.

• Payments are processed securely via Stripe
• All fees are in British Pounds (GBP) and exclude VAT where applicable
• Failed payments may result in service suspension
• No refunds for partial months

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon cancellation:

• You will retain access until the end of your current billing period
• No refund will be provided for the current billing period
• Your account will revert to the FREE tier
• Saved data will be retained for 30 days

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purposes
• Attempt to reverse engineer or compromise our systems
• Abuse API limits or attempt to circumvent usage quotas
• Share your account credentials with others
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute our content without permission
• Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt the Service

All content, features, and functionality of AI Mechanic (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, and AI models) are owned by AI Mechanic and protected by UK and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of the vehicle data you input. By using our Service, you grant us a license to process this data to provide our services and improve our AI models.

This includes but is not limited to:

• Accuracy of AI-generated diagnostics
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Availability of third-party data (DVLA, fault code databases)

AI Mechanic is a diagnostic assistance tool. Always verify critical information with professional sources.

• Vehicle damage resulting from following AI-generated advice
• Personal injury or property damage
• Lost profits, data, or business opportunities
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using AI Mechanic, you consent to such processing and warrant that all data provided is accurate.

AI Mechanic integrates with third-party services including:

• DVLA Vehicle Enquiry API: For VRM lookups
• Stripe: For payment processing
• Google OAuth: For authentication

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for:

• Breach of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse of the Service
• Non-payment of fees

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
